Developer Mode
To use your Quest controllers with PortalVR, your headset needs Developer Mode enabled. Follow the short video below to switch it on.

Developer Mode lets your Quest talk to your PC over USB. PortalVR uses that connection to read your controllers' position and button input in real time. Without it, the Quest blocks external apps from accessing that data.

If your Quest is managed by an MDM platform, enable Developer Mode through its console instead.
